Police National Legal Database

In conjunction with PDMS, Digital Design has been working with the Police National Legal Database (PNLD) team for a number of years providing a range of graphic and web design services.

PNLD has been keeping the Police Service of England and Wales up to date on criminal law since the 1990's. Access to this online legal resource is now available to all Legal Professionals in the Criminal Justice community. PNLD provides a unique computerised database of up-to-date legal information, standard offence wordings, including points to prove and police actions, together with summarised case law PLUS a wide range of features that no other legal database offers.

In addition PNLD runs the Ask the Police website which offers answers to commonly asked questions from the general public in England and Wales. PDMS has been working closely with PNLD for many years and has developed several key systems for the organisation.

When Digital Design first began working with PNLD, the organisation had legacy identities for various systems and products. In 2007 Digital Design began to develop a new cohesive brand identity for the organisation, providing a 'family' look and feel, and ensuring consistency across a range of communications and marketing channels.

PNLD advertising and exhibition materials

AS well as logos and colourways for the national 'Ask the Police' website and the Police National Statistics Database (PNSD), Digital Design has worked with PNLD on exhibition stand design for the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), press advertising, interface design for their backend systems and web design for the public facing parts of their systems.

PNLD advertises in several industry publications and Digital Design has co-ordinated and provided marketing materials including 'above the line' advertising and exhibition stand design. In addition we have provided in-house templates for PNLD 'Case Studies' which allow the marketing team to create their own materials in Microsoft Publisher.
