Diary Date:24 February, Claremont Hotel, 12.00 - 13.30 (lunch included)
Isle of Man employers and recruiters are invited to attend a free information session about Manx Graduates, the free-to-use careers and networking portal for Manx professionals.
Hosted by the Isle of Man Department of Trade and Industry, the session will include a presentation from Chris Gledhill, managing director of PDMS, the software firm that developed the site. He will provide an overview of the site and a detailed insight into how organisations can use the portal to benefit business and the Island's job market.
Minister David Cretney MHK will be in attendance along with Sue Cook, Chief Executive of Junior Achievement IOM.
Manx Graduates was launched December 2008 as an innovative one-stop central resource sponsored by the DTI with the support of the Department of Education to match and introduce Manx students, graduates and professionals with Isle of Man employers who are actively recruiting. The site has grown progressively and to date has 871 candidates registered, predominately between 18-29 years old, and 66 employers are registered users.
