"We've taken part in the Adventure Team Challenge for the past couple of years and have seen a lot of valuefrom participating. It's not only a fantastic team building exercise, we also get to meet all kinds of differentpeople from the Island's business community, and importantly we have a lot of fun as well," said Chris Gledhill, managing director, PDMS. "Working with The Children's Centre as the events' sponsor is the logical next step in supporting this excellent initiative."
The Adventure Team Challenge attracts about 20 teams from across the IT, banking, retail, finance, public and third sectors. Teams are tested physically and strategically by participating in a series of challenges that demonstrate their ability to:
- communicate clearly
- make decisions
- work well together under pressure.
"Getting involved in the
Adventure Team Challenge is a great way to raise the profile of
your organisation and build industry relationships,"
said Mark Eastham,
fundraising coordinator, for The Children's Centre. "At the same
time you'll be supporting a Manx charity which focuses
on putting the
Island's children, young people and families
them realise their full potential."
Challenges are designed with business people in mind; no specialist athletic skills or conditioning is required. The cost of entering a team of five is £600 with discounts on offer for entering two or more teams and all of the entry fees are used to support the charity's valuable work in the Island's local community.
